Banff dates back to the 12th century when the town was an important Hanseatic trading
towns, nowadays it’s famed harbour is purely used for recreational purposes with
commercial vessels using the more industrialised town of Macduff.
Being an integral part of the coastal trail, Banff offers something for everyone,
year after year Banff welcomes thousands of visitors, with it’s amazing wildlife
and the famed Moray Firth Dolphins, glorious sandy beaches and stunning architecture.
Golfers will enjoy a visit to Duff House Royal Golf Club, bordering the River Deveron
and Estuary, the challenging yet pleasant golf course will provide a test for all
levels of golfer.
For the less energetic, why not take a trip around Duff House, set in fantastic grounds
where you can wonder and explore a great collection of art and artefacts from the
national galleries of Scotland and private lenders.
Whilst here there are many other attractions and activities to keep you occupied,
the town has it’s own museum, boat trips are available from the harbour, surfers
can revel in the water, the local swimming pool is open throughout the year, in short
